"The Moscow Mule: A Classic Born from Copper, Ginger, and Ingenuity"
The Moscow Mule was invented in 1941 at the Cock ‘n’ Bull pub in Hollywood. Jack Morgan, the pub's owner, wanted to use up a surplus of ginger beer, and Sophie Berezinski, a Russian immigrant, had copper mugs she needed to sell. Together, they combined vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice in these distinctive mugs. The drink’s refreshing taste and the appeal of the copper mug made it an instant favorite, especially in Hollywood, where it quickly gained popularity.
